Melbourne Renovation Builder: All Services
One Registered Builder for Every Room in Your Home
Most renovations go wrong in the gaps. The tiler waits on the plumber, the cabinetmaker measures before the walls are square, and nobody owns the timeline. Dynamic Bros Renovations removes those gaps. We are a registered renovation builder in Melbourne, and every trade on your job answers to us.
Over 15 years and more than 300 completed projects, we have built bathrooms, kitchens, laundries, extensions, outdoor rooms and full custom homes across Melbourne's inner east and bayside suburbs. Same team, same standard, whether you are updating one room or rebuilding the whole house.

Not Sure Which Service You Need?
Your kitchen or bathroom is dated but the layout works: a single room renovation.
The layout is the problem, not the finishes: a home renovation, which may involve moving walls.
You have run out of rooms: a home extension.
The house is fighting you at every turn: a custom build or knockdown rebuild is often better value than a heavy renovation.
You know what you want but not how to choose it: start with a colour and design consult.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q1. What renovation services does Dynamic Bros offer in Melbourne?
We cover kitchen renovations, bathroom renovations, laundry renovations, full home renovations, home extensions, outdoor living areas, custom new builds and colour and design consultations. Every service is delivered by the same in house team under one registered builder, so you are never managing multiple companies.
Q2. Are you a registered builder?
Yes. Dynamic Bros Renovations is a registered building practitioner with the Victorian Building Authority, registration CDB-U 100497, and we carry the insurance required for domestic building work in Victoria. You can verify any Victorian builder's registration on the VBA website before you sign a contract, and we would encourage you to.
Q3. Which Melbourne suburbs do you service?
We work across Melbourne's inner east, inner south and north west, including Kew, Hawthorn, Balwyn, South Yarra, Toorak, Armadale, Malvern, South Melbourne, Albert Park, Elwood, St Kilda, Essendon, Strathmore, Aberfeldie, Keilor East, Brighton, Hampton and Sandringham.
Q4. Do I need a building permit for a renovation in Victoria?
It depends on the work. Cosmetic changes such as new tapware, painting or replacing a vanity in the same position generally do not need a building permit. Structural work, relocating plumbing, changing the building footprint or creating a new wet area usually does. Plumbing work must always be done by a licensed plumber and comes with a compliance certificate regardless of whether a building permit was required. We assess this at the quoting stage and handle the applications for you.
Q5. How much does a renovation cost in Melbourne?
It varies enormously by scope. As a rough guide, Melbourne homeowners currently spend around $8,000 to $25,000 on a laundry, $20,000 to $40,000 on a bathroom, $30,000 to $65,000 on a kitchen, and $2,500 to $4,500 per square metre on an extension. Those ranges move with the size of the space, the condition of what is behind the walls and the finishes you choose. The only number that matters is the one on your quote, and ours are fixed and itemised before work starts.
Q6. How long does a renovation take?
A laundry is typically two to four weeks, a bathroom three to six weeks, a kitchen four to eight weeks, an extension around three to five months and a full home renovation three to six months. Permit approval sits outside those timeframes and can add four to twelve weeks on projects that need one. You get a dated program before we start, not a vague estimate.
Q7. Do you handle the design as well as the build?
Yes. If you already have plans we will review them and price the build. If you do not, our designers can develop the layout, the finishes schedule and, as an optional add on, 3D renders so you can see the finished space before anything is ordered. Design and build under one roof removes the finger pointing that happens when they are separate contracts.
Q8. What warranty comes with your work?
All structural work carries the statutory warranty period that applies under Victorian law, and non structural work is covered for the statutory period as well. From 1 July 2026, eligible domestic building work in Victoria valued over $20,000 is covered by the Building and Plumbing Commission's Home Warranty scheme, which replaced the previous Domestic Building Insurance product. We arrange that cover as part of your contract and hand over all certificates and warranties at completion.
